Dr. G. VIJAYA – CONSULTANT OPHTHALMOLOGIST
Dr. Vijaya is a highly experienced ophthalmologist with over 20 years of clinical practice in diagnosing and treating a wide spectrum of eye conditions. She completed her MBBS from Kilpauk Medical College , Chennai, followed by a DO from the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Chennai, and a DNB in Ophthalmology from Sankara Eye Hospital, Coimbatore.
To enhance her expertise, Dr. Vijaya has completed specialized fellowships in Cataract Surgery, including phacoemulsification and premium intraocular lens implants, as well as a long-term Glaucoma Fellowship at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai. She has worked in several premier eye institutes in Mumbai, mastering advanced diagnostic tools and modern surgical techniques.
Dr. Vijaya has extensive experience managing cataract, glaucoma, anterior segment disorders, ocular surface diseases, and refractive errors. She has participated in national and international conferences, presented clinical papers, and continually updates her skills to stay aligned with evolving technologies in eye care.
Currently, she serves as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at GVS Eye Clinic & Glaucoma Centre, providing Comprehensive eye care ,Paediatric eye care, retinal evaluation for diseases like diabetes, Hypertion, AMD and other retinal disorders .
